Jamie Powell earned her Law Degree from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law, where she concurrently completed a degree in Master of Business Administration.
During law school, Jamie held several leadership roles, including President of the Black Law Students Association, Communications Chair of the Student Bar Association, and Student Liaison to the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association.
Prior to joining our firm, Jamie served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Fernando J. Gaitan in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri, gaining valuable experience in federal court practice and judicial reasoning.
Outside of work, Jamie remains actively engaged in community and professional service. She serves on the Board of the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law Alumni Association Committee, is Vice Co-Chair of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association Federal Courts Advocates Section’s Social/Membership Committee, and volunteers with Lawyers Encouraging Academic Performance (LEAP), tutoring students at Operation Breakthrough.
Jamie is passionate about using her legal skills to advocate for others and is dedicated to fostering access, equity, and excellence both in and outside the courtroom.
