Kiley J. Deain is an associate in our Overland Park office primarily focusing on personal injury, construction litigation, and general insurance defense litigation. During law school, Kiley worked for a plaintiff’s firm that specialized in medical malpractice and personal injury cases, where she honed her skills in negotiation and courtroom advocacy.
Kiley graduated from Washburn University School of Law, where she also earned a certificate in International & Comparative Law. While at Washburn, Kiley was an active participant in moot court, serving on Washburn’s Moot Court Council and participating in the Jessup International Law Competition and the Lachs Space Law Competition each year. Of note, Kiley’s team placed second at the Manfred Lachs Space Law North American Regional Competition, the best finish out of all American teams. For her achievements, Kiley was inducted into the Order of the Barristers, an honor society for those who have demonstrated exceptional skills in trial advocacy, oral advocacy, and brief writing. Before attending law school, Kiley obtained B.A.s in Political Science and Sociology, a minor in Spanish Language, and certificates in Multicultural Studies and American Constitutional Democracy from the University of Missouri – Columbia.
Outside of work, Kiley loves spending time with her family, including her fiancé, Dylan. When she is not working or spending time with her family, Kiley coaches multiple Washburn Law moot court teams and enjoys traveling.
